Matthew Filippelli (Moderator)

Director Offshore Services – North America, Principal Engineer, UL

Mr. Matthew Filippelli is Principal Engineer with AWS Truepower and has been engaged with onshore and offshore wind energy consulting since 2003. He applies his experience in site assessment, instrumentation, turbine technology, and wind project design to industry research and to services for a diverse spectrum of clients. His efforts have supported nearly every phase of wind development, from siting through financial close, to operational analyses and forecasting. For independent engineering and lenders’ technical advisory services, he specializes in turbine technology and site suitability assessment. His work has supported wind projects located throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. 

Mr. Filippelli participates in a variety of wind industry working groups related to site characterization and turbine design, including the IEC 61400-15 Wind Resource and Site Assessment standards working group, and the IEA Remote Sensing users group.  

Taylor Geer

Head of Practice - M&A, DNV GL

Taylor joined DNV GL in 2004.  Since then he has focused on advancing the state-of-art and accuracy of wind energy assessments. In his current role as Service Line Leader – Project Development, he ensures DNV GL can provide innovative solutions and opportunities for our customers.

Taylor is a delegate on the IEC 61400-15: Assessment of Wind Resource, Energy Yield, and Site Suitability committee. 

Eloise Burnett

Manager - Wakes & Wind Resource, Carbon Trust

Eloise works in Carbon Trust's Offshore Wind team to deliver industry leading market insight, large scale multi-stakeholder demonstration projects and joint industry programmes. Her role includes leading the Offshore Wind Accelerator’s research into wakes and wind resources as well as managing the Offshore Wind Offshore Renewable Joint Industry Programme (ORJIP) which aims to reduce consenting risk for wind developers.
